CARING FOR YOUR JEWELLERY

Due to the handmade process and traditional fibres used in each piece, imperfections are normal and natural softening and colour change may occur overtime.

  • Extend the life of your jewellery by keeping it dry
  • Clean the metal of your piece with a soft dry cloth after every wear
  • Store your piece in a sealed box away from direct sunlight and humidity
  • Remove when showering, swimming or exercising
  • Avoid contact with make-up, sunscreen, lotions, perfumes or hairspray
  • Avoid contact with pale colour clothes as dyes used in your piece may not be colour fast
  • For sterling silver pieces – clean with a soft silver polish cloth carefully avoiding the natural fibres within the piece
  • For yellow and rose gold filled and brass pieces – clean with a soft polish cloth carefully avoiding the natural fibres within the piece

For any further information or advice on how best to care for your piece please contact our team via info@bilumandbilas.com

Unique style

Eye catching and I get a lot of compliments when I wear my Bilum & Bilas as they are clearly so unique and have crafted
Always excited to tell the story of they origins as I received these as a gift from my daughter who lives in Cairns and I admired them there in a jewellery store
Be sure to keep away from any make up as their naturally fibre may stain from the neckline foundation
I wear mine fir every day wear as go with everything
The gorgeous earrings are a statement of you and your own uniqueness of connection to nature
