This piece takes almost a day to weave and is completely handcrafted from processing of the natural fibres through to twisting them into string and finally weaving the pattern. This process remains unaltered throughout centuries and we honour and celebrate this process in all our creations.

- 45cm/18inch fine chain in sterling silver, rose or yellow gold filled
- 35mm pendant is handwoven organic natural fibre disc with corresponding rose/yellow gold filled or sterling silver beading detail
- Gold filled won’t wear like plating - its thick layer of gold content is heat bonded to a metal core to ensure its lustre for years to come.
- Natural fibre is called rapa in local language - similar to sisal plant - hand foraged and processed.

We keep stock of our popular items and order fulfilment usually takes one week.
Occasionally a piece may need to be made to order. If this is the case with your order, you will be advised within a day. This will usually only add an additional week to our standard order fulfilment period of one week plus shipping. If you require an item urgently, please email info@bilumandbilas.com prior to placing your order to confirm the lead time.
SHIPPING WITHIN AUSTRALIA
- We ship orders using Australia Post.
- For Australian orders, customers are given the option of standard or express shipping at checkout.
- Standard Shipping - $10 AUD (1-5 business days from dispatch)
- Express shipping - $14 AUD (1-2 business days from dispatch)
- Once your order has been dispatched (standard order fulfilment is one week from placing your order), you will receive an email confirming shipment and tracking details.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING (*Excluding PNG)
- All International orders are sent via Auspost International Express at a flat rate of $35 AUD.
- Depending on your location, International shipments arrive in approximately 2-10 business days from dispatch date.
- A signature upon delivery is required.
- Shipping to the following locations is also currently unavailable due to postal restrictions – Korea, Algeria, Iran, Israel, Pakistan, Syria and Russia.
- Please note that Australia Post uses National postal services at the destination country. If you prefer a door to door courier option please email info@bilumandbilas.com to discuss options
*SHIPPING WITIHN PNG
- We currently only offer ‘collect in person’ for online orders within PNG. Collections can be made from our studio in Port Moresby. Please select 'collect in person' at checkout and email info@bilumandbilas.com to arrange a suitable time for collection.
- Domestic shipping within PNG via Fedex PNG can be arranged directly with our studio. Please email info@bilumandbilas.com to get a quote and arrange shipping.
INTERNATIONAL TAXES & DUTIES
- Please be aware that if you are purchasing online from outside of PNG or Australia, you may be charged customs duties and taxes. These duties and taxes are not included in the price of the goods and are not included in the overall shipping cost.
- Bilum & Bilas is not responsible for any duties and taxes which may be applied by customs in the country where delivery is made. The responsibility for any custom duties, foreign taxes or other fees which may be imposed rest with the customer.
- Bilum & Bilas are legally required to declare the full dollar value paid on the international shipments and must include an invoice for customs should they require it.
- We do not refund shipping costs for customers that reject their packages upon arrival for failure to pay duty fees.

CARING FOR YOUR JEWELLERY
Due to the handmade process and traditional fibres used in each piece, imperfections are normal and natural softening and colour change may occur overtime.
- Extend the life of your jewellery by keeping it dry
- Clean the metal of your piece with a soft dry cloth after every wear
- Store your piece in a sealed box away from direct sunlight and humidity
- Remove when showering, swimming or exercising
- Avoid contact with make-up, sunscreen, lotions, perfumes or hairspray
- Avoid contact with pale colour clothes as dyes used in your piece may not be colour fast
- For sterling silver pieces – clean with a soft silver polish cloth carefully avoiding the natural fibres within the piece
- For yellow and rose gold filled and brass pieces – clean with a soft polish cloth carefully avoiding the natural fibres within the piece
