CARING FOR YOUR BILUM

Due to the handmade process and traditional natural fibres used in each of our pieces, imperfections are normal and natural softening and colour change may occur overtime.

  • Keep your bilum dry
  • Store your piece in a sealed box away from direct sunlight and humidity
  • Take care if wearing jewellery with your bilum as fibres can easily catch
  • Avoid contact with make-up, sunscreen, lotions, perfumes or hairspray
  • Avoid contact with pale colour clothes as dyes used in your piece may not be colour fast
  • Tassel embellishments may become ruffled during use. Gently brush out the tassels to smooth them down

For any further information or advice on how best to care for your piece please contact our team via info@bilumandbilas.com
